Wim Vandekeybus (1963) is a choreographer, dancer, photographer, and filmmaker who, in the mid-1980s, founded his renowned dance company, Ultima Vez. His debut, What the Body Does Not Remember (1987), won him immediate acclaim, including a Bessie Award for groundbreaking work, followed by another Bessie for Les Porteuses de Mauvaises Nouvelles (1989).
